Error 401 (Unauthorized)
If you receive an Error 401 (Unauthorized) message, it means you’re trying to access a page that you must first log in with a valid user ID and password to view.
To resolve a 401 error message:
- Check that the URL you are trying to access is correct, then re-enter it in your address bar and press Enter.
- Try to log in to your websites’ dashboard from My Account page.
Select the required site (click on site’s image), and click Edit Site button. - Use another supported browser. If the error only occurs in one browser, clear your browser’s cache.

Wait a few minutes and try again. This issue is usually temporary and solved in a matter of minutes.
